Butler County Motorplex Ð Rising City, NE - May 29, 2009 Recap Jim Hendricks took the first checkered flag of the night as he won the first of two IMCA Sport Modified heat races. Nathan Kobus was second with Kyle Harpster third and Anthony Koubus was fourth. Kyle Becker took the lead in the second heat race but Ron Allen took control on lap number four. Lap number six found Hank DeWild on the point. DeWild continued for the win with Denny Berghahn second, Ron Allen third and Brian Collins was fourth. Terry Richards took the lead from Dan Rhiley on lap four in the first heat of the IMCA Modified division. Richards continued for the win with Rhiley second, Tim Richmond third and Scott Bivens was fourth but not able to continue to the feature due to engine problems. Jason Harms led the first three laps in the second heat before developing engine trouble sending him in for the night. Mike Stearns took control and the win. Shane Stutzman, Mike Densberger and Shane Hiatt rounded out the top four positions. Scott Styskal led the entire distance in the third heat race for the win. Chris Alcorn was second, Jim Krupicka third and Brian Levander was fourth. A special appearance by the Cruiser division of race cars found Greg Ekeler/John Miller team leading the heat race from start to finish. Ken & Drew Barry took second with the theam of Pat Hersh and Mike Whitten third and fourth went to Allen Zimmerman/Cody Luben Mike Simpson, Levi Stoakes, Mary Lenz, Drae Swathourt made up the top four in the first heat of the IMCA Sport Compacts. John Sedlachek controlled the second heat of the IMCA Sport Compacts from start to finish for the win. Jeremy Noonan took second followed by Garrett Rech and Jeff Davis. Scott Olsufka led the first of three IMCA Hobby Stock heats until the final three laps as Duane Schroeder took the lead and the win. Olsufka was second followed by Tony Scheffler and Brandon Kresha. Eric Hanson controlled the second heat with the win. Dusty Poessnecker followed in second, Josh Kennell third and fourth was Kyle Hein. Jeremy Hoskinson won the final heat followed by Brady Fernau, Quinten Spragg and Mike Goldfuss. Drae Swarthout led lap number one in the IMCA Sport Compact feature but Garret Rech was in the lead after a caution on lap two. Rech continued for the win as John Sedlachek held on for second, Mike Simpson moved into third and Ricky Harris was fourth. Jason Penke led lap number one in the IMCA Sport Mod division. Hank DeWild took control on lap number two and continued until lap eight as Ron Allen took the lead. DeWild took the lead again on lap ten but got together with Jim Hendricks on lap fifteen sending both to the rear. Denny Berghahn Jr. got the lead as the race resumed and took the win. Kyle Harpster finished second, Ron Allen was third and Brandon Jessen fourth. The Cruiser team of Tyler Mark and Brandon Ahlquist led the first lap of their feature but had to pit early with problems. Ken & Drew Barry took the lead on lap two and continued until rain delayed their feature. As the race resumed Vic & Josh Jacobitz got the lead and continued for the win. The team of Ken and Drew Barry were second, Greg Ekeler/Joh Miller were third and fourth went to the team of Pat Hersh and Mike Whitten. Scott Olsufka took the lead as the Hobby Stock feature began. Duane Schroeder took the lead on lap two and held on until lap twelve as Dusty Poessnecker took control. Poessnecker continued for the win making it five wins in a row at the Motorplex. Brady Fernau was second, Quinten Spragg third and Lee Kracht finished fourth. Mike Densberger took the early lead in the IMCA Modified A-feature after several plagued the start of the race. Terry Richards took the lead on lap four. Lap number twelve found Chris Alcorn in the lead. Alcorn continued for the win with Terry Richards edging out Shane Stutzman for second. Stutzman was third and James Kleinheksel was fourth.
